Breathe of hounds in the morning lights mist
Dew sodden grass trampled by hoof
Gleam of metal shining like hunters star
Scent on the air of horse, of steel, of fear
O'r the moss and stone and brook and field
Past the streams and waters and fells
Horn blast like thunder
The call of the hunt
The thicket dwellers flee
The Fangs of the sky that bring
death
Hail woodland realm
They come for your king
Shadows through the trees
Armed with metal teeth
Heart of the wood
Your blood burns bright in veins
Breath of the hunter
Breath of the prey
Racing through the trees
Death or life
The sole release
Lord of the wood
antlers your crown
The law your domain
Is upon you now
Run well and live
Hunt well and kill

A lot of epic and theatrical sounding black metal has to navigate the possibility of sacrificing some of it's vitriolic edge for the sake of creating a soaring atmosphere, or worse still it runs the risk of having a somewhat sterilised and cleaner quality of sound. Whilst neither is inherently a bad thing, it's a real treat to hear an album so simultaneously majestic and decrepit. Track four is fucking great! Ben Harris

Fast, raw and grim Black metal. It doest get much better than this.
Ashgabat sounds evil and dark as fuck with what seems no effort.
